We invite you to join us as practitioners and researchers, theologians and historians, pastors and academics, the curious and the uneasy come together for honest, authentic dialog about where we go from here and what traveling together could look like.
OCTOBER 4TH-6TH, 2022
This won’t be long talks and short Q&As, but full-room conversations. Dialogue will flow around topics like Deconstruction, After Evangelicalism, Colonialism, the rise of Christian Nationalism, Biblicism, Racism in the Church, LGBTQ+ inclusion and Climate Change. Authors and academics like Brian Zahnd, Kristin Du Mez, Brad Jersak, David Gushee, Lisa Sharon Harper, and others will participate with us and with one another in conversation around these topics and more. Then we will continue the conversation around tables on site to discern and apply what is rising to the surface.
Join us for two days of intense interaction around topics we can’t not talk about anymore.

Author of the New York Times bestseller Jesus and John Wayne, Kristin Du Mez is a writer, speaker, and scholar who explores the intersection of religion, gender, and politics. Her writing is described as "urgent and sharp-elbowed," and Du Mez does not refrain from presenting the hard truths that history has to offer Americans—and especially American Christians. Her unflinching examination of the American church, however, is ultimately a call to confession, a call to lament, and a call to greater faithfulness. An academic by training, Du Mez holds a Ph.D. in U.S. history from the University of Notre Dame, but she writes and speaks for popular audiences in an entertaining style that is equal parts winsome and hard-hitting. Du Mez teaches at Calvin University and lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her husband, three kids, and a dog named Paco.
